Buat Biodiesel anda dirumah
Keterangan:
Dalam langkah ini, biodiesel akan dihasilkan melalui proses transesterifikasi atau dalam bahasa mudahnya pemisahan molekul-molekul lemak dan minyak.
Bahan-bahan kimia:
- Sodium hydroxide (NaOH) atau bahasa pasarnya Caustic Soda
- Methanol
- Minyak masak terpakai
Bahan-bahan fizikal:
- 2 Bekas untuk mencampurkan bahan-bahan tadi
- Jar cecair dalam ukuran ml
- Penimbang dalam ukuran gram
Cara-caranya :
Masukkan 500ml minyak masak ke dalam bekas 1. Campurkan 100ml methanol dan 2gram sodium hydroxide dalam bekas 2.
Kacau campuran dalam bekas 2 sehingga sebati. (AWAS campuran NaOH dan Methanol sangat bahaya untuk kulit dan mata. Pastikan anda memakai sarung tangan.Cuci dengan air yang banyak sekiranya terkena pada kulit)
Tuangkan campuran bekas 2 kedalam bekas 1. Kacau dan kacau dalam 5-7 minit sehingga terbentuk dua lapisan cecair.
